The Science Fair is open to all students at Devinny to showcase their understanding of the scientific method to explore new topics.
Each student will get a t-shirt for participating!

We need friendly and positive people to discuss projects with kids who do not want to be judged and we need science-minded people to interview kids and judge their project based on a rubric.

WE NEED YOUR HELP! Volunteer Support Needed for Various Duties
This would be for the day before and day of the Science Fair
Judges - Adults/College Students that have a degree or job in a STEM field is preferable
Community Support Member - Any adult/college student that would like to talk to students about their project without having to rank or score the student.
Registration - Register students
Set-up - Set up gym for fair
Fair Monitoring - Monitor Fair and set-up
Student Escort -Get the students from their class at the appropriate time for them to present
Other Tasks - Both before and during the Science Fair
*** All volunteers will also receive a Science Fair shirt! ***

Friday, January 16th - Kick off demonstration for all grades!
Sunday, February 1st- Registration Deadline
Thursday, March 12th - Allowed to set up in the Gym from 2:35 - 3:40pm
Friday, March 13th - Set up in the Gym from 7:45-8:35AM (only if you didn't do it Thursday evening)
Friday, March 13th - Present projects during the school day
Friday, March 13th - Show off your Science Fair projects to friends and family in the Gym from 5:30-6:30pm! Projects must go home with student at the end or other arrangements must be made before hand
